The Postgraduate Diploma Programme budget comes from the ICTP core budget.

The Postgraduate Diploma Programme, regularly receives funding from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) to support students from the Arab region.

The Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Physics is co-sponsored by the UNESCO/Italy Funds-in-Trust cooperation for Africa.

 For the academic year 2007-2008, the Canon Foundation for Scientific Research has kindly offered travel grants for all the students in the Physics Postgraduate Diploma Course. The Canon Foundation for Scientific Research aims to provide support for scientists from developing countries in the physical sciences and engineering fields in order to promote technology transfer and absorption to improve industrial infrastructure and capability.
